'Violet Sequence' is my current solo project, fusing aspects of alternative rock, trip hop and ambient music to create an expansive sound. Instrumental parts are kept simple, using production as a means of more complex expression. The name comes from 'The Violent Sequence' - the original piano track that became Pink Floyd's 'Us and Them'.

This track, 'Glitch', was an idea I initially developed for Quicksandance's 'Illuminated'. I wanted to take the idea further, using the vocal as the main driving force whilst making the intensification of the electronics more subtle. In the second verse, the ambience becomes unstable, heightening the tension for the final chorus before the outro resolves the texture back to the warm space of the opening.
